Claire is a registered physiotherapist who joined the Quinte Orthopaedics team in 2013 after successfully completing her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy at the University of Toronto.
Prior to her Masters degree, she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics with distinction at the University of Ottawa. Claire has always had a desire to work in the health field with individuals of all ages and abilities and is passionate about injury management and prevention through a combination of manual therapy techniques and exercise rehabilitation.
Since graduating, Claire has completed a variety of continuing education courses, including Foundations of Anatomical Acupuncture, Levels 1, 2, and 3, optimizing knee osteoarthritis management, the role of physiotherapy in preparation & recovery of cesarean birth, sport physiotherapy taping, an advanced shoulder course, as well as completed the Functional Intermuscular Stimulation (FIMS) course.
She recognizes the importance of ongoing professional development to implement best practices, facilitate a timely return to work, sport, and extracurricular activities, and help patients achieve and maintain optimal physical function and well-being.
Outside of the clinic, Claire and her husband stay busy with their two young children and enjoy many outdoor activities, including cycling, swimming, golf, and skating on their pond.
