Physiotherapy

Physiotherapists are university-trained health care professionals that focus on the prevention and treatment of pain and movement dysfunctions. They are registered by the College of Physiotherapy regulated under a Provincial Act. Physiotherapists have a detailed knowledge of the human body and understand the factors that can predispose you to injury, such as poor posture, poor body mechanics, muscle imbalances, and disease such as osteoarthritis or osteoporosis. When recovering from orthopaedic surgery, our onsite orthopaedic clinic works closely with the surgeon to help you reach your maximum potential.

All the physiotherapists at Quinte Orthopaedics have completed advanced orthopaedic studies in manual and manipulative therapy. Your treatment may involve manual techniques, education, therapeutic modalities, exercise prescription, acupuncture and other joint and soft tissue work.

We are committed to giving you the best quality treatment for your problem, and the tools to help you get better.
